Não costumo ser muito fã do minimalismo mas há alguns casos em que realmente funciona fortemente e para mim é o caso da Le Pótager Collection. Ao deixar os materiais vegetais brilharem, L'Artisan cria o que parece ser uma coleção atemporal, uma mistura de passado, presente e futuro que vai direto ao ponto em cada fragrância.
Cédrat Ceruse pode ser visto como uma homenagem aos primeiros dias de L'Artisan, quando lançaram L'Eau de Céleri em 1978. Da coleção, é o que tem um aroma principalmente herbal, com um uso interessante de erva-doce, limão e pimenta rosa. Cira-se um contraste refrescante de aroma doce de limão com um erva-doce que se mostra verde, mentolado e com a faceta do anis destacada. Há também coentro e pimenta rosa envolvendo esta fragrância em nuances picantes e folhosas.
Iris Gris certamente leva você ao passado, mas não exatamente à lendária fragrância de Jacques Fath. É destacado as nuances cinzas e terrosas da manteiga de iris, mas combinado com gálbano e ervilhas verdes. O efeito geral é de uma impressão vintage, mas modernizada, como se alguém se inspirasse em Chanel No 19 e Jacomo Silences. Terroso, gramíneo, apimentado e muito elegante, mas fácil de usar.

I'm not usually so fond of minimalism but there are some cases where it really works strongly and i think it is the case of Le Pótager Collection. By letting the vegetable materials shine L'Artisan creates what seems like a timeless collection, a mix of past, present and future which is straight to the point in every single fragrance.
Cédrat Ceruse might be like a homage to the early L'Artisan days when they launched L'Eau de Céleri in 1978. From the collection this is what smells mostly green, with an interesting use of fennel, lemon and peppercorns. It creates a refreshing contrast of sweet lemony aroma against a minty, green fennel, which has the aniseed facet highlighted here. There is also coriander and pink peppercorns wrapping up this fragrance in spicy and leafy nuances.
Iris Gris certainly takes you to the past, but not exactly to the Jacques Fath legendary fragrance. It highlights the grey and earthy orris butter nuances but paired down with galbanum and green peas. The overall affect is of a vintage vibe but modernized, like someone got inspired in Chanel No 19 and Jacomo Silences. Earthy, grassy, peppery and very elegant but easy to wear.
